Preserving Stories That Matter: My Interview with The Local Gist TV

I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed by The Local Gist TV, where I shared the heart behind Life Story Interviews and the difference these legacy videos are making in the community. We guide each person through thoughtful, open-ended questions, allowing them to reflect on their journey at their own pace. This makes sharing memories feel natural, even for those who might be nervous at first.

We also talked about the impact these interviews have on families. Too often, important stories are lost because no one thought to capture them while they had the chance. I know this firsthand, as I lost both of my parents without ever having meaningful video recordings of them. That experience sparked the mission behind Life Story Interviews, to make sure other families don’t miss out on preserving their loved one’s voice, laughter, and stories.

One of my favorite parts of the conversation with The Local Gist was highlighting the joy and healing these videos bring.
